This is the International and American Associations of Clinical Nutritionists.
I have been a professional member for many years and I continually think of
them as one of the most important of all such organizations. Unlike groups
like the American Dietetics Association, whose RDs are taught so many things
wrong that I would never send anyone to one for nutrition advice (listen to
my MP3 on RD’s) the IAACN is the exact opposite. They force you to re-learn
everything correctly as the best science proves it to be, before you are even
allowed to sit for their credentialing arm’s (www.CNCB.org) coveted CCN
credential. I jumped through a great deal of hoops just because of how important
it was for me to become a CCN. Although for some reason, they have never asked
me to present at any of their conferences as I have at others around the U.S.,
I consider theirs to be one of the best and have never missed attending one

The
nutritional therapy association is a wonderful group. I was the first (keynote)
speaker at their 2010 annual scientific conference in Vancouver
Washington and then gave a second lecture the last day of the conference.
This group was started with a goal of doing at least two important things.
The first was to train people to become Nutritional Therapy Practitioners
(NTP) so that more of the public could find accurate nutrition professionals
in their area to consult with. The second was to teach all of these professionals
the importance of whole foods and traditional diets. They even selected
Nutrition and Physical Degeneration by Weston Price as one of their REQUIRED
text books and that says a great deal to me. If you are looking for training
and a credential in the nutrition field, wish to make sure you are taught
accurate information rather than a lot of the non-science that RD’s
are taught, but you currently do not have the time or money to slowly accumulate
everything required to get the CCN I wrote about above, this would be another
excellent choice for you to consider. I really like this group and I will
be promoting them and their training now that I know them better. |

This is the original foundation preserving the scientific works of Dr.'s
Weston Price and Francis Pottenger Jr. Unlike many other health "authorities" who
change with the tides and alter what they say with every new study, PPNF
(as they are fondly referred to by their members) has been disseminating the
same
correct health information for decades. Their book, Nutrition and Physical
Degeneration by Weston Price, is possibly the single most important book
relating to healthy eating and nutrition that has every been published. Dr.
Price's
book and his research are quoted at scientific conferences, lectures, and
seminars on health and nutrition around the world numerous times every year.
Highly
recommended reading! Dr. Pottenger's book entitled "Pottenger's Cats,
A Study in Nutrition", may be one of the most important nutrition
and healthy eating studies ever performed. These and numerous other books
are available
from
the foundation which I highly support and would like you too as well. |
